Kentwood is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Kentwood follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. My wife is Burmese, born and raised in Myanmar, and weβve both had the pleasure of eating in Myanmar several times and at Burmese restaurants in several countries, so we were excited to come discover this place. We were disappointed to find a restaurant in transition to a mainly non-Myanmar food! Until now, per the owner, only the outdated menus were available on Google Maps and the new owner said they could not get the new menus posted (?!?) so I posted them here. Mohinga, one of the national dishes of Myanmar, is on the current menu but was NOT available (!!!), accurate to say this is like McDonaldβs not having hamburgers or a Vietnamese Pho restaurant not having Pho. However, after getting over our huge disappointment, the Indian goat curry was really great, nice sauce, had this been labelled as an Indian restaurant we would have been very happy. The Lahpet Thoke (Burmese tea leaf salad) was okay, not dissimilar to the version you might sometimes get in the countryside of Myanmar which is cheapened by heavy use of cabbage in ratio to the tea leaves. The owner here is very kind and gracefully requested suggestions on how to make the tea leaf salad. People here seemed to be

Wonderful food and service. Portions are generous and a good value. Spice level can be none to OMG hot, if you'd like. When we asked about the food, the server took her time to explain the spices, flavor profile, and time it took to prepare. Looking forward to the expanded menu and authentic dishes from Thailand, India, and Myanmar. The aroma was wonderful. A definite stop when the area.

I visited Amazing Myanmar Asian Cuisine today. This place has changed hands several times but has new owners as of just a week or two ago. The new owners/servers/cooks/experts are amazing!! I asked for help choosing traditional Burmese dishes and I had Burmese tea leaf salad that I have wanted to try forever and a great noodle dish. I was told that the tea leaves and crunchy beans in the salad are imported directly from Burma/Myanmar. Iβve been looking for a way to try this dish for years and wow, it is absolutely incredible at this restaurant. The owners were very friendly and helped me pick out dishes from their menu. Talking to them it turned out that they have many, many years of restaurant experience and it shows here. I canβt wait to visit again and try more new-to-me foods. Really, this kind of experience is what I think is making Grand Rapids the interesting place I want to be part of. Kudos to these chefs.

Hidden gem! Excellent food and service! The owner was so nice and welcoming. It was our first time here. The resturant was clean and quiet, a nice place to have a quiet lunch or date day. The owner brought us complementary spring rolls while we were deciding what we wanted to order. We tried the chicken satay, fresh rolls, thai fried rice, myammar coconut curry noodles, pad kra pow with chicken. Everything was delicious and the portions were so generous. We even got a complimentary sticky rice for dessert. It was so good! I can't wait to come back and try some of the other entrees!

The energetic owners really make this place. The food is good as well! I'm from California and while back home in Grand Rapids I was surprised to find a Burmese restaurant. Immediately went to try the place and glad I did. The owner is extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were immediately greeted with complimentary spring rolls which had a nice thin crunchy shell. We ordered the Myanmar Tea Leaf Salad, Spicy Myanmar Nan Gyi Thoke, Myanmar Fried Noodles Stir Fry, the Black Dragon Roll, and a Thai Iced Tea. The Tea Leaf Salad is excellent with a great amount of crunch in the salad to balance the pickled tea leaves. The Nan Gyi Thoke had very flavorful soft noodles and they did not hold back on the requested spice. The Fried Noodles Stir Fry was perhaps my least favorite of the bunch. There was perhaps too much sauce that overpowered the whole dish. The Black Dragon Roll was solid and made fresh by the owner. The eel sauce on the roll was very sweet which a nice surprise. And the Thai Iced Tea definitely hit the spot. Believe me I've had plenty of Thai Teas from many different places and it's a great treat here. I'm very excited that my hometown has a Burmese joint a
